Yavapai War

The Yavapai War was started in 1871. It was a war in response to the Camp Grant Massacre. The war was fought between allies Indian tribes the Apache and Pinal against the Tohono O'odham tribe and early American Settlers. The war lasted four short years but was very bloody. The Apache were almost completely destroyed. They were forced to move from the Camp Verde Reservation to San Carlos. The U.S and O'odham were led by General George Cooks. The war ended February 27th, 1875.
